“Le Dernier Cri”: A commentary on how far people will go for fashion?






I had been a fan of Erwin Olaf’s work for a long time but was not familiar with his short-film work which is related to his different photo series. It completely makes sense, his photography looks like film stills and the imagery is so rich you have the sense of a large story. I particularity loved “Le dernier cri” translated as the last fashion and the “Wet” video with the older woman younger man shower scenario…very of the moment.

It was very nice to meet the man behind the images, he was very pleasant and I had a great conversation with the person in charge of his setting up his shows abroad . Never mind that he thought I did “Train research” and when I said to his friend you are “So Tendance” he understood “You are so ten dollars”…

That is Erwin with a girl who had a bad hair day…It rained on Wednesday!
