On December 4th the film Jodhaa Akbar comes out on DVD across Europe. We saw it this weekend on a special preview in Paris, it is amazing. The costumes, the scenery, the cinematography, the set decor, the list is endless without even mentioning the beauty of the lead characters, played by the internationally well know Aishwarya Rai, and Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan.
There were 4 tons of gold utilized for the shoot, and countless costume changes. The extras had to be there on set every morning and 5 am for a dressing that took 5 hours…
The film is a true visual epic.

Director Ashutosh Gowariker has been nominated for an Oscar and has on record the third grossing movie in Indian. With the recent tragic events in Mumbai the story line of the movie is more relevant than ever as it is a hopeful story of a marriage between a Hindu and a Muslim.
