Below a link to a very interesting article by Suzy Menkes in the new Spring fashion New York Times Style magazine. She makes an interesting argument for fashion being an accurate precursor to the future. She takes into consideration headlines from her own fashion reviews as well as how the current African inspired looks that showed during Spring Fashion week could easily be tied as tribute to the new American president.

We are in the business of decoding consumer and fashion trends, so it always nice to find articles like this, specially since the trend she discussed at length was most definitely in our books.
